Sit or Pack

We always have an assortment of chairs. Our selection ranges from 'restyled' pieces with new fabric to old chairs needing a facelift. We always price low because we want the chairs to find good homes. These are constantly arriving and leaving as singles, pairs, or sometimes a quartet.
Let us know if you need ''something special" in a chair....maybe we'll find it for you!

Old luggage is great for decorating and storing stuff around the house. All of our suitcases are priced $15.00 or lower. We also get cool vanity cases and makeup bags from the 50's-60's.

Fabulous New Arrivals !

New arrivals at the shop!
Fabulous finds are popping up like Spring flowers. This is a wonderful 1940's framed print from the Oregon Coast. It shows Haystack Rock (?) and bits of actual sealife in the design.

I got a collection of vintage 1950's era placemats and retro menus from old restaurants. These are rare and in fine condition. Perfect for framing and use in your vintage kitchen.

We have some wonderful reproduction prints done on canvas. This process is called "giclee" and these examples are art deco designs. Expertly done and very beautiful. These have finished edges and can be hung as is......or suitable for custom framing.

This 1950's hula doll is so sweet. She's all original and quite a beauty. All of the featured items are available at Rita Deco. Hurry in for best pick!

Little Antique Mall - Lincoln City

We went to this mall TWICE during our visit to Lincoln City. The first day we got there it was late so we only had about an hour before they closed.....so we went back! The name "little antique mall" is puzzling. The mall is quite spacious with two huge rooms and tons of spaces. I have been going to this mall for years and I cannot get outta there without a bag full of stuff! We always call this mall "The Red Duck"......and so do alot of people I know. Everyone knows the 'red duck mall' on Hwy 101...!

The mall is clean and organized. Some of the spaces are casual and packed full. Others are neatly arranged and orderly. They have fancy collectibles, pottery, glass, mid-century, and seasonal finds.

You can find 'specialty' collections in the mall such as holiday items and black memorabilia. I always see a bunch of stuff I want to bring home. But I usually end up with just a few carefully chosen goodies.

These are a few of the old greeting cards I found at the mall. There were a whole bunch tucked in a plastic bag......and I got them for a song!

Nice array of collectible dishes and pottery. There's usually lots of American art pottery to choose from. Fiesta, Roseville, McCoy, Weller......all there the day I shopped!

I loved these ballet pictures. Apparently these are mid-century and from a known artist. They were very expensive....but cool anyway!

The Little Antique Mall is located at:

3128 NE Hwy 101 - Lincoln City, Oregon
541-994-8572

This place is worth a shopping trip. But allow about two hours if you browse at a steady pace......if you are slower it might take all afternoon!

Historic Anchor Inn - Lincoln City

The Historic Anchor Inn is located in Lincoln City, Oregon. This is a fabulous place to stay if you want an affordable and memorable vacation lodging experience. Located in the Taft area, the Inn is right on Highway 101.......yet it seems secluded and quiet. The owners (Kip Ward and Katrica Hansen) will see that your stay is a relaxing and friendly experience. The rates are $39.00 on weekdays / $49.00 weekends. Plus you get a handmade breakfast for free!

Here are a few exterior shots of the Inn. They have cabin units and 2-room suites located inside the lodge. This property was built in the 1940's and has so much charm. The yard and courtyard are decorated in a vast array of cool old 'beach junk' that reminds you of childhood vacations at the coast. The Inn is very casual and not fancy. So if you want a luxury hotel go elsewhere.
Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Plus.....the staff will bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

The lodge has a lobby area, large parlor, lounge/bar, and guest rooms on the main floor. The next few photos show the parlor area and cocktail bar. This is not a museum.....you actually stay here and enjoy all this wonderful vintage stuff!

This is the cocktail bar and lounge. This area is available for parties or group gatherings. There is knotty pine and vintage wood everywhere......plus all of the fabulous seashore decor.

This is the lobby area and front desk area. There is movie memorabilia and lots of retro knick-knacks to browse. They also have a whole bookcase full of movies to play in your room's DVD player. I love the huge photo of Joan Crawford!

Funny signs and memorabilia are tucked away in every corner of the Inn. The beautiful portrait of the vintage pin-up girl caught my eye. Too much cool stuff to take in....!

This is looking down the hallway in the lodge's 1st floor. Guest rooms are located down here. And yes.....even the hallways are decorated and decked out in the vintage style.

This is upstairs in the sitting area/living room of the Inn. This area is perfect for groups to mingle and watch a movie or just visit. There are more guest rooms up here plus a community kitchen open for guest use.

Here is a corner of one of the guest rooms. Your suite has a main living room, bathroom, and separate bedroom. Every room and cabin is furnished with old furniture, interesting lamps and decor. No two rooms are alike.

The Anchor Inn is located at 4417 SW Hwy 101 in Lincoln City. Phone: 541-996-3810
Toll free: 1-800-582-8611
A few facts:
Pets allowed in cabins. The Inn is located near many shops and restaurants. Breakfast is included for all guests. Public areas are open for viewing and use. No phones in rooms.
Cabins have small kitchens with frig and microwave. Community kitchen is available for lodge rooms. Coffee grinder, beans, and coffeemaker in cabins. TV & DVD in rooms. Friendly staff available to answer questions or address concerns. Charming motel with not alot of "hassle".
Don't be afraid to ask questions or request an informal tour of the property.

Lincoln City - Newport : Beach Trip

We took a two night trip to Lincoln City and Newport. The thrift shopping was actually pretty good and we had a chance to visit a few antique malls. We did the usual "tourist things" which included the casino, chowder at Mo's, bridges and lighthouses. Here's a few shots of things we saw along the way. We stayed at The Historic Anchor Inn Motel.....I will devote an entire post to that. The Anchor Inn is fabulous and a "must" for any vintage lover or person who wants a unique lodging experience. The weather was a mixed bag of rain, sun, and even hail. But we always managed to stay dry when walking and sightseeing. Stay tuned for more beach trip photos and the Anchor Inn.
